Select the highlighted material type to go to its
properties page.
Phosphor Bronze,
C51000 Grade A
 | The work horse of the non-ferrous spring
industry.
 | Good Strength, fair electrical conductivity
and a moderate price.
 | Grade A stands between Brass and Beryllium
Copper in properties: temperature resistance, fatigue resistance and cost. It gains
its spring temper from cold work, and is furnished in whatever temper is appropriate for
your application
Phosphor Bronze
C52100 Grade C
 | Similar non-ferrous spring applications as
Grade A.
 | Slightly higher strength with a given
formability.
 | Higher Tin content allows Grade C to
work-harden faster and thus develop a higher tensile strength with the same degree of cold
work
Phosphor Bronze,
C50700 Grade E
 | Fair strength, good electrical conductivity at
an economical price.
No Zinc to cause dezincafication.
Better conductivity than the Brasses. A better alloy for hot solder or hot
tin coating.
